What are the types of medical nebulizers?

There are three types of medical atomizers, with the mainstream types being ultrasonic atomizers and compression atomizers. There is also a mesh atomizer that combines the characteristics of compression atomizers and ultrasonic atomizers.

Medical ultrasonic nebulizer
Generally, it is mainly composed of a host, atomization cup, mist supply pipe, suction nozzle or suction mask, among which the host can be composed of an ultrasonic generator (ultrasonic transducer), ultrasonic film, air supply device, adjustment and control system. The advantage of medical ultrasonic atomizers is that the mist particles generated by ultrasound have uniform size and minimal momentum, making them easy to follow the airflow. The atomization amount (0.2-0.5mil/min), the atomization particles are small, and the stability performance is high. The disadvantage is that prolonged use can easily generate heat, causing the solution to carry its own heat and interfering with the production of silver loaded dressings. The noise is loud and the components are large, making it unsuitable for laboratory and daily research and development use.

Medical compression nebulizer
Generally, it is mainly composed of a main engine, air supply pipe, atomization device, suction nozzle or suction mask, among which the main engine is mainly composed of a compression pump, filtering components, and control system. The advantages of a medical compression nebulizer are simple operation, no need for water as the propagation medium, fine atomization particles, ability to atomize both solutions and suspensions, small structure, low power consumption, and low environmental pollution. The disadvantage is that the purchase price is several times that of an ultrasonic atomizer, and the maintenance cost is relatively high. Generally, maintenance requires replacing accessories.

Mesh atomizer
It belongs to the latest type of atomizer, which combines the characteristics of compression atomizer and ultrasonic atomizer. Its spray mode is to use tiny ultrasonic vibration and mesh spray head structure to spray. It is a family medical atomizer for children with asthma, which is easy to carry and use anytime and anywhere. Compared with the general ultrasonic atomizer, it can also spray with low energy and produce ultra-fine particles. The advantages of the mesh atomizer are that compared with the medical atomizer, it is the smallest and lightest atomizer in the world. It has the advantages of both compression type and ultrasonic type. For children with asthma, it is small, easy to carry, easy to use, and completely silent when used. The disadvantage of mesh atomizers is that due to the battery, there may be a phenomenon of low mist volume and long physicochemical time.
